Agency Fortuna is a media and management consultancy with highly experienced senior advisors helping independent filmmakers, startup founders and entrepreneurs achieve their goals. It is pioneered by Ace Salvador and Marcel Mate, founded in 2023, whose combined entrepreneurial synergy and vast global network of connections allows opportunities to abound and objectives to be accomplished.

Marcel Mate lived in Denmark, Hungary and the UK, and his work experience expands to the US as well. Having obtained a foreign degree in business, he currently operates from Copenhagen. Working with multiple small and medium sized enterprises next to the company’s director for years gave him hands-on lessons on leadership in different fields. He most recently secured financing for a limited docuseries with Mark Ruffalo attached as Executive Producer, which marked his first major credit in the industry. He became an Executive Producer on the feature film ‘Who Am I?’ with ’13 Reasons Why’ alums Alisha Boe & Brandon Flynn as lead actors, as well as Hari Nef, who most recently starred in ‘Barbie’ next to Margot Robbie. Marcel also became Associate Producer on a German-Polish art house film ‘Losing Control’, which gained admission to SXSW 2024.

A Long Island native and active member of the Producer’s Guild of America, transitioned from an engineering path to pursue a career in filmmaking. His journey began at The Los Angeles Film School in 2008, where he discovered his passion for producing. Ace gained valuable experience while interning at Michael Bay’s production company, The Institute, working on short films and commercials for Nike and Adidas.
In 2011, Ace executive produced and secured financing for the television pilot “East Sandstone,” gaining representation by CAA and interest from major studios. His career continued to thrive as he co-produced “Drifter” (2017), a successful horror feature film with global distribution. Ace followed this with “Sleepless” (2017), an action film, and “FML” (2016), collaborating with industry professionals like John Baldecchi. Recent projects include “Who Am I” (2020), an arthouse film exploring quarantine emotions with a talented cast from Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why,” and the TV pilot “Folk” (2020) centered on millennial relationships. Ace’s current endeavors encompass “Trunk” (2020), a thriller examining pro-life vs. pro-choice dynamics, and “Maybe Next Life” (2022), a coming-of-age tale set in Italy.
Additionally, Ace contributed as a producer to Gareth Edwards’ (“Rogue One,” “Godzilla”) film “The Creator” (2023). He is dedicated to sharing compelling stories through film, believing that it has the power to unite global audiences by conveying important messages and universal themes.
In addition, he is currently involved in a large global investment infrastructure deal as well as a medical tourism real estate project in the Dominican Republic.
